This January, Royal Exchange Kingston is celebrating Winter Wellness, a new year dedicated to self-care and wellbeing. As part of our Winter Wellness sessions, we’ve partnered with UBX Kingston to bring you a special taster session of their unique boxing and strength-based workouts.

About UBX
UBX combines boxing fundamentals with functional strength training in a science-backed, 12-station circuit format. Each session is roughly 25 percent boxing and 75 percent strength-based exercises, guided by friendly, knowledgeable coaches. With a flexible “turn up and train” approach, UBX makes it easy to fit a powerful workout into your day.

What to expect in this session
• Warm up – prepare your body for movement and elevate your heart rate
• Boxing fundamentals – learn how to stand, basic punches like the jab and cross, and footwork essentials
• The 12-station workout – move through the circuits at your own pace. For your first visit, aim to complete about six stations, adding more gradually as you feel comfortable
• Cool down and stretch – leave feeling energised and balanced

This session is suitable for all fitness levels. UBX coaches provide personal guidance in a supportive, ego-free environment where you can build strength, improve fitness, and grow confidence at your own pace.

Practical details
• The session is 1 hour, and may run slightly over to allow time to cover boxing fundamentals
• Please arrive on time, as latecomers cannot be added once the workout starts
• A health and safety waiver must be scanned and signed on arrival
• Wear comfortable workout clothing and trainers. Boxing gloves will be provided
